DHOLPUR: Shah Alam II, 1759-1806, AR rupee (11.07g), Dholpur, AH1225 year 4, Cr-12.1, in the name of the Mughal emperor Muhammad Akbar (1806-1837), pistol above the mint name, magnificent strike, EF, RRR. Same reverse die as the specimen illustrated in the Standard Catalog of World Coins, but different obverse die. Well-centered on an unusually broad flan, it is likely that this was a nazarana issue for presentation.
