DURRANI: Ahmad Shah, 1747-1772, AR nazarana 2/5 rupee (1 mithqal) (4.57g), Shahjahanabad (Delhi), year 14, A-3092D, Zeno-142386 (= Whitehead-172, in the British Museum), ahmad in a triple circle in the obverse center, the rest of his couplet around // standard mint/date formula around; outer border of leaves on both sides; same dies as the British Museum example, and both piece were mounted, bold VF, RRRR. It seems likely that this type was intended to be worn by the chief Durrani and other individuals, perhaps for the celebration of the second Durrani conquest of Delhi.
