GIRAY KHANS (CRIMEA): LOT of 14 akçes and 2 beshliks, in flips, identified by the consignor: Salamat I, 1608-1610, Guzlu mint (2); Jani Beg, 1st reign, 1610-1623, Guzlu mint (3); Muhammad III, 1623-1627 (1, EF condition); Jani Beg, 2nd reign, 1627-1635 (1); Bahadur Khan, 1637-1641 (1, very rare); Muhammad IV, 1st reign, 1641-1644 (1, very rare); Islam III, 1644-1654 (2); Muhammad IV, 2nd reign, 1654-1666 (3 akçes and 1 beshlik with clear date AH1064); and 'Adil, 1666-1671 (1, beshlik); mostly VF condition, typical strike, with the usual weakness; retail value $500; lot of 16 pieces, ex Jim Farr Collection. From the reign of Muhammad III onwards, all Giray Khan coins were struck exclusively at the mint of Baghcha-Saray.
