IMPORTANT NOTE - The Buyer's Premium is now $20 per lot or 20% of the hammer price, whichever amount is greater. However, we have also reduced opening bids on lower value items to adjust for the new Buyer's Premium structure, so all-in costs are still very close to what they were in the past. This change in fee structure will allow us to continue to offer coins valued at less than $100 in addition to our higher value offerings. Contact us with any questions.
EAST AFRICA & UGANDA: George V, 1910-1936, AR 50 cents, 1911, KM-9, NGC graded AU53. The Imperial British East Africa Company began to fail, and on July 1, 1895, the British government proclaimed East Africa a protectorate, the administration being transferred to the Foreign Office. In 1902, administration was again transferred to the Colonial Office and the boundaries of the protectorate were extended to include what was previously the Eastern Province of Uganda.
