ECUADOR: Carlos III, 1759-1788, 8 pesos 22 reales civic receipt, 1784, Tacunga local issue, with coat of arms of the Spanish Empire and the name of the city of Tagunca (misspelling for Latacunga), UNC. A similar example was sold in Heritage Auction 282132, Lot 87041. Paper receipts of this type are more likely not banknotes, but rather civic property tax payment receipts. Reading of handwritten sections is tentative.
