EGYPT: Abdul Aziz, 1861-1876, AE 20 para, AH1279 (1862), KM-Pn12, Misr mint name but actually struck at the Paris Mint, bronze pattern issue in the name of Muhammad Sa'id Pasha, more red than brown and one of the most lustrous example we have seen! PCGS graded Specimen 64 RB. Mohamed Sa'id Pasha was the Wali of Egypt and Sudan from 1854 until 1863, officially owing fealty to the Ottoman Sultan, but in practice exercising virtual independence.
