FATIMID: al-Mu'izz, 953-975, AR 1/2 dirham (1.42g), Makka, AH(3)63, A-699, some weakness and one small chip, possibly mount removed, regardless a true rarity as the first Fatimid silver minted in Makka, Fine, RRRR. We have encountered more than a dozen examples of the Misr AH363 1/2 dirham and feel confident that the mintname on this coin is Makka and not Misr. The 2nd letter is "k" and not hard "s", without the the vertical line that always appears at the left size of the letter "s", never used for "k". The final "h", although somewhat coarse, differs significantly from the "r" at the end of "misr". Moreover, the general calligraphic style differs from the Misr half dirhams. Fatimid gold dinars are well-known for Makka dated AH363.
