FATIMID: temp. al-Mu'izz, 953-975, AR narrow dirham (2.06g), Misr, ND, A-X699-var, inscribed muhammad rasul Allah in the middle circle, lillah in the center // bism Allah duriba bi-misr in the middle circle, al-izza in the center; totally anonymous, but struck during the time of al-Mu'izz, possibly prior to his conquest of Egypt (Misr); modestly crimped; unique and unpublished, VF, RRRR. For the Fatimids, the central phrase "al-izza / lillah" is found only on Nicol types H1, H2, and H3, struck mainly at al-Mansuriya (in Tunisia) and occasionally at Siqilliya (Sicily).
