FRANCE: AE medal (406.1g), 1931, 103mm bronze medal for the 1931 Exposition Coloniale de Paris by Albert Pommier for the Société Française des Amis de la Médaille, elephant ¾ walking left in shallow water // native African woman seated facing with head left and palms behind with "1931." below, stamped "56" on edge (from a proposed mintage of 250 pieces), Choice VF, R, ex Jerry D. Williams Collection. Specimen Number 184 sold recently at iNumis, so presumably at least that many were produced. Photo size reduced.
