Antoine Coëffier de Ruzé was Marquis of Effiat (Puy-de-Dôme) of Cheilly Longjumeau, Baron of Saint-Mars (he was the father of Cinq-Mars), Lord of Gannat and of Mesnil-Moley, peer and marshal of France, knight of the King's Orders, advisor in his state and private councils, Governor and Lieutenant General of the King in Anjou, and Grand Master Superintendent of Finance and Mines of France. The original of this medal was produced in 1629; this piece was cast later.
