Chaplain, awarded to Compagnie des Messageries Fluviales de Cochinchine, with the setting of the city of Paris in the background, under an oak tree of which a branch serves as an oak crown, is the head of Marianne right with long hair, wearing a Phrygian cap, with REPUBLIQUE - FRANÇAISE around // above Paris and the buildings of the International Exhibition, a flying Victory is holding a palm frond and a crown, surmounted by a man in an apron holding a torch; in the field to the right is the date (1900) with EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE INTERNATIONALE around, with COMPAGNIE DES / MESSEGERIES FLUVIALES / DE COCHINCHINE in a rectangular cartouche, BRONZE with cornucopia privy mark on edge, Choice UNC, ex Howard A.
