CGB Auction 46, Lot 62, shield of France between three small crowns within a trefoil // cross cantoned by two small crowns and two fleurs-de-lis within a quatrefoil, small flan with irregular shape, obverse legend differs from catalog piece, small fleur-de-lis below crown at beginning of obverse and reverse legends, obverse legend separated by annulets (not stars), retrograde S in SIT, well struck except at the margins, rare, Choice VF. The trefoil is the mint mark of Jean Pomerol (1498–1507) (iNumis).
