Collignon-2061, 41mm silver medal for the Ministry of Agricultural Commerce of Nantes by Barre, laureate bust right with NAPOLEON III - EMPEREUR around // "NANTES / 1866" at center of inner circle with CONCOURS AGRICOLE REGal * ANIMAUX REPRODrs * around the circle, all within fruit and grain wreath and MINISTERE DE L'AGRICULTURE DU COMMERCE ET DES TRAVAUX PUBLICS* around all, within original plush case (nice condition!), sublime concentric toning, a few hairlines within reverse inner circle, ARGENT and bee privy mark on edge, Choice Proof. These award medals were to reward the organizers and participants of regional competitions, according to Collignon. He states that there are likely many similar issues still to be discovered and published.
