FRENCH INDOCHINA: AR medal (19.35g), 1903, Ruedas-60, 36mm unissued silver award medal for the Exposition de Hanoï by A. Patey, France personified wearing a Phrygian and laurel cap protecting Indochina seated under the French flag with Indochinese workers in the background and INDO-CHINE / FRANÇAISE in exergue // Pavilion of the Exposition with EXPOSITION DE HANOÏ above with cartouche (blank) below with laurel all around and banner inscribed "1902" and "1903" at either side and scene of the Doumer Bridge with village below in exergue, lightly toned, ARGENT with cornucopia privy mark on edge, AU, RR. While bronze and silvered bronze medals were found, we were unable to find any auction records of one in silver.
