IMPORTANT NOTE - The Buyer's Premium is now $20 per lot or 20% of the hammer price, whichever amount is greater. However, we have also reduced opening bids on lower value items to adjust for the new Buyer's Premium structure, so all-in costs are still very close to what they were in the past. This change in fee structure will allow us to continue to offer coins valued at less than $100 in addition to our higher value offerings. Contact us with any questions.
GABON: Franceville, SET of 5 tokens, ND (1883), all issued in zinc-coated iron and counterstamped with a single F, including the 10 centimes (KM-Tn1, triangle with cut corners), 20 centimes (KM-Tn2, triangle), 50 centimes (KM-Tn3, rectangle), franc (KM-Tn4, square), and 1.5 franc (KM-Tn5, rectangle with cut corners); all with moderate to heavy oxidation, a very scarce set; set of 5 pieces. This set was issued by Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza, an Italian-French explorer of Central Africa, who founded Franceville in 1880. The capital of French Congo, Brazzaville, was named in his honor.
