GREAT BRITAIN: George II, 1727-1760, AR medal, 1736, Eimer-537, 38.5mm, Jernigan's Lottery silver medal by J. S. Tanner, BOTH HANDS FILL'D FOR BRITAIN, Minerva standing facing, holding spear and palm frond, between piled arms and symbols of art and science / GROWING ARTS ADORN EMPIRE, Caroline standing right, holding scepter and watering a grove of palms with "CAROLINE PROTECTING/ 1736" in exergue, EF. Issued by London goldsmith Henry Jernegan in his lottery to dispose of a massive silver wine "cistern" he created and found impossible to sell. It ended up at the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg. W. H. Strobridge called it erroneously the "Carolina Medal."
