James, laureate head of George III right with "G" in left field and III in right field, with "GOD SAVE THE KING. - 1788" around // laureate bust of William III right with "W" in left field and "CENTENARY OF THE GLORIOUS REVOLUTION. - 1688" around, holed for suspension (not uncommon), part of the National Series and the Scottish Jacobite issues, nicely toned, prooflike, rare, plain edge, XF-AU, ex Max B. Spiegel (with envelope). The revolution in question here was the replacement of a Catholic king by a Protestant one.
