Bowcher for Spink & Son, crowned, draped, and laureate bust left with IN / COMMEMO- / RATIONEM / ANNI / REGNI in left field and LX with oak branch behind in right field, all within solid circle with VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP - MDCCCXCVII around // Royal arms with THE BRITISH EMPIRE radiant below and "A.D. - 1897" below that, with border of 55 shields around, each one with the names of the Colonies and Protectorates and cross at bottom with PEACE LOVE AND UNION in the angles, a few tiny rim nicks and obverse field marks, plain edge, in original Spink & Son box of issue, EF.
