IDRISID Contemporaries: Zaynab, fl. 815, AR dirham (2.04g) (Tudgha), DM, A-B433, Eustache-75/76, an extremely important type, without the Idrisid ruler, citing Zaynab below the obverse, and Ya'akov in Hebrew above and an undeciphered Arabic name below the reverse; the only classic Islamic coins to have a name cited in Hebrew! VF-XF, RRRR. The name in Hebrew shows that some of the engravers at the Idrisid mints were Jewish, and it seems that Jewish workers were at Moroccan mints during the Idrisid period. This is of the greatest rarity; there are no examples on CoinArchives or Zeno; there is a similar example in the Tübingen collection.
