ILKHAN: Muhammad Khan, 1336-1338, AV dinar (2.85g), Qara Aghach, AH737, A-2226, Bennett-434, type A, copying the type H of Abu Sa'id but with his name muhammad khan in Arabic and the date in the standard Hijri calendar; magnificent VF-XF, RRR. Qara Aghach was a secondary mint city in Georgia, operating only AH737-758, not be confused with the mint Qaraghach in western Anatolia, active in the Beylik states in the early 8th century Hijri. Muhammad's type A for Qara Aghach was reported only by Diler, but Bennett was unable to find an illustration. Only type B is illustrated on Zeno.
