INDIAN SULTANATES: LOT of 470 jitals, a large and diverse group of jital coins, an unsearched accumulation and a very interesting study lot, average circulated quality, retail value $2000, lot of 470 coins, ex Dr. Vincent John Adams Flynn Collection. The jital was a medieval currency widely used across Afghanistan and Northern India from approximately 750 to 1450. They were typically made of silver, billon, or copper, and are known for their distinctive "bull and horseman" type design.
