ACEH: Jauhar al-Alam Shah, first reign, 1795-1815, tin-lead pitis (1.79g), Teluk Samawi, AH1227, Millies-150, cf. Zeno-341211, jauhar al-'alam shah // teluq samawi 1226, reverse retrograde, wonderful bold inscriptions, VF-XF. This is the first example of this date we have handled.According to Millies (p.105), Teluk Samawi was the principal commercial port of Aceh and the main residence of the sultan for some years. It is likely that this type was made during the period when Teluk Samawi was the capital of Aceh Sultanate.
