JAPAN: Keio, 1865-1868, iron 25 mon (5.38g), H-7.5A, type known as a Mito Daikoku-sen (Mito Daikoku Coin) with Daikoku, the God of Wealth on reverse, likely a contemporary local issue cast in iron, VF. Legend translates as "Longevity as great as the South Mountain." These coins were first issued in 1864 by the Morioka-han in Mutsu Province (present day, Iwate-ken).
