JAPAN: Showa, 1926-1989, porcelain sen, ND (1945), KM-110, group of WWII emergency porcelain issues, UNC quality, retail value $$250, lot of 6 coins. Made by Kyowashinkou Porcelain Co. in Kyoto also Seto Co as an experimental coin at the end of WWII. These are made of 60% Sankansaka Clay, 15% Granite, 15% Red clay and 10% other materials. The color range from bright red to dark brown depending on the baking temperature. It is said to have circulated for a short time at the end of the war.
