KANSU: AE 100 cash, year 3 (1914), Zeno-285299/300, Daxi-3557, cast warlord issue, light oxidation with attractive green patina on reverse, VF, ex SARC Internet Auction 29 Lot 1719, ex The 1914 Collection. Local type almost surely cast in the city of Tianshui, then under the authority of Governor Kong Fan Jing, the local warlord. Kong Fanjin was originally a subordinate of Zhang Guangjian; he successively joined two warlord factions, the Anhui clique and the Zhili clique. On March 30, the ninth year of the Republic of China (1920), Kong Fanjin was appointed as the garrison envoy of Longnan on the order of the president. On March 15, 1924, Kong Fanjin was awarded the title of General Mingwei of the General Mansion. In February 1925, Kong Fanjin became a member of the aftermath meeting. In August 1926, a war broke out between Kong Fanjin and the National Revolutionary Army near eastern Gansu; Kong Fanjin was defeated and withdrew from Gansu. Later, Kong Fanjin served as the Supervisor of the Shaanxi-Gansu Border Defense and other positions, and left his post to live idle after the Beiyang Government was replaced by the Nationalist Government. In the autumn of 1951, Kong Fanjin died of illness in Tianshui, Gansu.
