KHWAREZM: Qutlugh Murad Khan, 1856, AV ½ tilla (2.25g), NM, AH1272, A-3084.1, Struck at Khwarizm, but without mint name as always for this type, bold strike, choice Extremely Fine, RRR. Qutlugh Murad Khan ruled only for a few months, and struck three types of the half tilla, and nothing else. This type has the inscriptions as a couplet, be-lotf-e khoda-ye karim-e javad / be-zar sekke zad shah-e qutlugh-murad, "by the grace of God, the generous, the beneficent, he struck coins in gold, the shah, Qutlugh Murad". The couplet left no room for the denomination or the mint name.
