KIAUCHAU: Wilhelm II, 1898-1914, brass token, 10 pfennig (1.98g), ND, Kantine S.M.S. Emden, EF, RR. The German light cruiser SMS Emden was launched in 1908, and stationed at Kiauchau in China until 1914. She was run aground by her captain, Karl von Müller, off the Keeling-Cocos Islands, 9 November 1914 after action with the Australian cruiser, HMAS Sydney.
