KIRIBATI: Republic, 5-coin proof set, 2000, First Official Coins of the New Millennium Set; included are the following 5 coins: $5 cupronickel "Harmony " coin; sun, earth and moon in harmony with the universe; $10 trimmillium "Hope " coin; Milky Way over the earth (trimmillium is an alloy of 4 metals - platinum, gold, silver, bronze); $20 sterling silver "Faith " coin, hands holding the earth in the universe; $50 pure gold "Enlightenment coin ", rays of the sun shining down on the earth; and the $100 pure platinum "Peace ", dove of peace holding an olive branch with the sun rising; the common reverse of each coin features the sun rising over the sea (the Crest of Kiribati) along with national motto "Te Mauri Te Raoi Ao Te Tabomoa " (Be Blessed For Ever), set comes with original hinged hardwood and glass display case, mintage of 2000 sets struck by the Franklin Mint, all graded by ICG Summary of precious metal contents: 1) $100 has 6.2g of .999 fine platinum, ICG graded PR70 Deep Cameo; 2) $50 has 6.2g of .999 fine gold, ICG graded PR69 Deep Cameo; 3) $20 has 21.4g of .999 fine silver, ICG graded PR67 Deep Cameo; 4) $10 has 22g of trimmillium, ICG graded PR70 Deep Cameo; 5) $1 struck in cupro-nickel, ICG graded PR70 Deep Cameo.
