KOREA: AE charm (9.59g), 19th century, Mandel-2.1, Ramsden-12, KCBC 9-31, hanging type, mother with baby, 6 amulets around / ying & yang symbol between two constellations, VF, ex Thomas Olive Mabbott, Gregory Cole Collection. Mabbott was an American professor, and researcher of literature -- most famously his study of Edgar Allan Poe, and numismatist (he collected everything from Ancients to Mining tokens). A lot of the material in his collection was probably put together from the 1920's-1930's. Some of the amulets may have been acquired by Mabbott from Ramsden.
