In 1928 the most modern minting machinery available was delivered to the newly constructed mint in Bhuj. The old mint was located just outside the fort walls of the palace, whereas the new mint was built near the Mahadeva Gate. New dies were created similar to the previous issue, but with smaller Gujarati legends and finer engraved leaves within the wreath on the obverse. It was likely for the occasion of the opening of the new mint that these specimen sets were struck. This is the only example of an extant set that we are aware of.
