MACEDONIAN KINGDOM: Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC, AR tetradrachm (17.09g), uncertain mint, Price-- (unpublished control mark combination, cf. 3751ff), SC-- (cf. 82.4b), head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress // Zeus Aëtophoros seated left, MI to left, M below throne, scratch and light roughness on reverse, possibly struck in Babylon during the second satrapy of Seleukos I (311-306 BC), lightly toned with some iridescent notes, VF, ex Edward W. Rataj Collection. This is the only example with such a control symbol combination that we have encountered.
