ANCIENT INDIA: MALWA: Vijayaka, ca. 2nd-1st century BC, AE unit (8.53g), Pieper-798, diademed Hellenistic bust right, traces of Brahmi legend to right // 3-arch hill with swastikas in each arch, crude VF, RRR. The consignor reads the name as Vijayamitra, who is reported to have been located in the Vidibha region of Malwa and maintained a connection with the Bactrian rulers of Gandhara and Taxila ca. 113 BC.
