MAR'ASHID: Anonymous, fl. 1393-1394, AR tanka (6.86g), Madinat Qumm, AH796, A-M2347, Dauwe-162:Ab2, with the phrase nasr min Allah wa'l-fath qarib ("help from God and victory is near") followed by the city name Astarabad // kalima and the names of the 12 Shi'ite Imams around; cleaned, but still one of the best known examples of this type, choice VF, RRR, ex Roland Dauwe Collection. Attribution to the Mar'ashids of Mazandaran is very likely. The coins were probably struck outside Astarabad, and cite Qumm to confirm their Shi'ite branch of Islam.
