MAURYAN:LOT of 52 punchmarked silver coins of the Mauryan era, circa 350-200 BC, mostly square, all catalogued according to Gupta & Hardaker; nearly all nice VF, retail value $1150, lot of 52 pieces, ex Paul Stevens Collection. This lovely group were selected for quality, almost all with full punches on the obverse, and often with one of more banker's marks on the reverse, not the common low quality pieces marketed in mass numbers. This group provides an excellent base to learn this series.
