MEDIEVAL RUSSIA: "Pookskie" imitation, ca. early 15th century, AR denga (1.45g), H&P-5200C, imitating on obverse Golden Hoard issue of Toqtamish (his name in Uighur), and on reverse issue of Berdi Beg, extremely rare, VF, R5, ex Jim Farr. "Pookskie" means on the Oka River, which flows south of Moscow, descending through the cities of Serpukhov, Kolomna, Ryazan, and finally pouring into the Volga River at Nizhny Novgorod.
