MEXICO: Estados Unidos, AE 2 centavos, 1915, KM-420, "Zapata Issue", a lovely mint state example! PCGS graded MS63 BN, ex Almer H. Orr III Collection. A one-year type, these pieces were struck during a short period in July of 1915, while the revolutionary forces of Emiliano Zapata were in control of the Mexico City mint. As with the companion one centavo issue, it is smaller than the standard issued coin. Minted only in July 1915, it was declared illegal, and to be destroyed, October 19, 1916.
