IMPORTANT NOTE - The Buyer's Premium is now $20 per lot or 20% of the hammer price, whichever amount is greater. However, we have also reduced opening bids on lower value items to adjust for the new Buyer's Premium structure, so all-in costs are still very close to what they were in the past. This change in fee structure will allow us to continue to offer coins valued at less than $100 in addition to our higher value offerings. Contact us with any questions.
MEXICO: Revolutionary Issue, AR 50 centavos (10.44g), Sinaloa State, ND (1914-16), KM-766, GB-405, sand-cast silver necessity issue, a very rare denomination! Fine, RR, ex Kent Ponterio (Mexican Coin Company). As usual for this incredibly crude type, it displays just the faintest evidence of the design elements and legends on the rough surfaces. We would like to note that this coin is not eligible for encapsulation at NGC or PCGS due to the crude surfaces. Please take this into account when bidding. We did XRF test the piece and the metal contents are old and match other known examples.
