MUGHAL: Akbar I, 1556-1605, LOT of 42 copper coins: Dams: 38 pieces, including the following mints: Ahmadabad (2 pcs), Allabas (1), Atak Banaras (6), Chainpur (1), Chitor (1), Delhi (2), Dogaon (1), Fathpur (1), Gobindpur (3), Kalpi (1), Lahore (4), Lakhnau (1), Mirath (1), Narnol (3), Qasbat Sherkot (1), Sahrind (2), and Urdu Zafar Qarin (1), plus 6 pieces with uncertain mints; Fractions: 4 pieces, including a nisfi and a two-tanki of Kabul, and two 1/8 dam pieces, both with mint off flan; almost Fine or better, with perhaps 60% very fine; many with legible dates (and month for the Ilahi dams), an excellent starter's group with a wide variation of both the Hijri and Ilahi date seres; unidentified, retail value $1000, lot of 42 pieces.
