MUGHAL: Humayun, 1530-1556, AR light shahrukhi (3.16g), Qandahar, A-G2464, with the date "14" in the obverse cartouche together with the mint name (perhaps for AH941); ruler cited only as al-Mukarram Muhammad; mount removed, VF, RRR. There are 2 examples sold by CNG on CoinArchives with the same dies as this piece (2.96g and 3.06g), but incorrectly assigned to Babur and the date as [9]14, which is long before Babur seized Qandahar in AH928. The obverse cartouche is identical to Babur's shahrukhi of Qandahar dated 933 (Rahman-38.4), which still had the full shahrukhi weight of about 4.7g, not the light shahrukhi of Humayun dated 941 (or 951, which is less likely). The full royal legend on the obverse is not completely deciphered from the 3 examples, and further research is needed.
