MUGHAL: Humayun, 1530-1556, AR shahrukhi (4.68g), Assam, AH(94)2, Botham, clear mint name in the lower left corner; the only other reported example, in a private collection, on which the numeral "4" of the date is clear; the central royal legend is muhammad humayun padishah ghazi sayyid al-salâtin, mount removed, VF, RRRR. Humayun's military forces did enter into Assam, and this coin was perhaps a regular Mughal issue, but more likely a local issue accepting Mughal authority. The coarse calligraphy suggests the latter.
