Old style coins continued to be struck in the newly acquired territories by Akbar. Bronze coins and silver tankas continued to be struck until about AH1000 in the style and weight standard of the former Malwa Sultanate at Mandu, Ujjain and Ujjainpur, after which these coins were replaced by regular Imperial issues.
