Prince Selim Shah succeeded the throne on Thursday, November 3, 1605, eight days after his father's death. Selim ascended to the throne with the title of Nur-ud-din Muhammad Jahangir Badshah Ghazi. This type was issued in Jahangir's pre-accession name of Selim.
