NAN MING: Zhao Wu, 1678, AE 10 cash (8.57g), H-21.111, seal script, yi (one fen [of silver]) on reverse, graded 80 by GBCA Grading Company, F-VF. In 1678, Wu Sangui declared himself the emperor of the "Great Zhou Dynasty", with the era name of Zhaowu. He established his capital at Hengzhou (present-day Hengyang, Hunan). When he died in October 1678, his grandson, Wu Shifan, took over command of his forces and continued the struggle until he was defeated soon after, in December 1681.
