NARHAN: Punchmarked, ca. 500-450 BC, AR double karshapana (6.60g), Pieper-41 (this piece), four crescents around a central circle, plus 7 bankers' marks, including a neatly engraved elephant, XF, R, ex Wilfried Pieper Collection. The elephant as banker's symbol is rarely seen on the archaic Indian coinage.
