NORTHERN SONG: Da Guan, 1107-1110, AE 10 cash (17.8g), H-16.426, slender golden script, graded 82(06) by GBCA Grading Company, artificial defect, XF. Slender golden script was created by Emperor Huizong (1100-1126) of the Song dynasty in the early 12th century. The name "Slender Golden" comes from the script's resemblance to twisted gold filaments. It was also inspired by an earlier calligrapher named Li Yu, who called his work "Golden Inlaid Dagger."
