OTTOMAN EMPIRE:LOT of 53 copper mangirs and 10 countermarked late 19th century Turkish copper coins (10 para, 20 para, and 40 para); the mangirs are mostly from the time of Suleyman I (1520-1566), together with some earlier and possibly a few later, average Fine, but nearly all with weakness of other flaws, all unidentified; the countermarks are either the standard toughra or the issue of Yunde Belediye, both common, all poor marks on typical host coin, in envelopes identified by the consignor; retail value $400, lot of 63 pieces.
