PEGU:LOT of 15 lead & silver good-luck tokens, in two groups: First, lot of 6 lead pieces, probably early to mid 20th century, three with elephant, three with hintha bird, weakly cast, crude Fine condition. Second, interesting lot of 9 silver pieces, including hintha, tiger, cobra, fish, frog, elephant, standing person, etc., probably made from the 1930s to the 1970s, most with unusual carvings on the reverse, average VF condition, a delightful group of local cultural tokens, lot of 15 pieces. Most of these are illustrated by Robinson, including Plate 3, nos. 19, 20 & 22, and Plate 4, nos. 6, 10, 11 and 13. Since his book was published in 1986, that year should be the terminal ad quem for their production.
