IMPORTANT NOTE - The Buyer's Premium is now $20 per lot or 20% of the hammer price, whichever amount is greater. However, we have also reduced opening bids on lower value items to adjust for the new Buyer's Premium structure, so all-in costs are still very close to what they were in the past. This change in fee structure will allow us to continue to offer coins valued at less than $100 in addition to our higher value offerings. Contact us with any questions.
POLAND: German WWII Occupation, meat ration card, 18.9.-12.11.1944, Reichsgau Wartheland issue, orange print with violet "JUDE" (Jew) overprint on each place on grid, two circular holes near left margin and a few small pinholes, slight tear at top, with Polish written text on back, VF, ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection. The Reichsgau Wartheland was a Nazi German Reichsgau formed from parts of Polish territory annexed in 1939 during World War II. It comprised the region of Greater Poland and adjacent areas. Parts of Warthegau matched the similarly named pre-Versailles Treaty Prussian province of Posen. The name was derived from the main river, the river Warta. This item was originally produced by an organization associated with acts of violence, crimes against humanity, war crimes, extremism, human rights violations, or similar topics.
