QAJAR: Fath 'Ali Shah, 1797-1834, AV toman (5.71g), Shiraz, AH1221//122(1), A-2860F, KM-741, type T1, full strike without any weakness, About Unc, RR. Obverse style similar to silver type A, reverse similar to silver type B, a combination unknown for silver coins. Type T1 is stylistically identical to type S2, but struck to a reduced weight, lowered from about 6.14g (32 nokhod) to 5.76g (30 nokhod).A hoard of about 600 tomans of Fath 'Ali Shah (plus 50-100 earlier Zand & Qajar rulers), terminating with the year of about AH1224, entered the market about 2008, mostly struck with noticeable weakness. The major were of type S1, with a significant number of S2, but only small quantities of T1 and T2.
