QING: Guang Xu, 1875-1908, AE cash (2.72g), Tianjin mint, Zhili Province, H-22.1462, machine struck 1896-99 on the 7 to 8 fen standard, small characters variety, PCGS graded AU53. When mint officials figured that each machine-struck cash cost more than 2 cash to produce, casting was quickly resumed in conjunction with struck coinage.
